A flight attendant has landed on the cover of Slimming World magazine, after transforming her health and lifestyle with support from her local group in Talgarth.
Hannah Roberts, 29, from Talyllyn, juggles a hectic international schedule, flying to different countries, navigating irregular hours and the ever-changing in-flight menu of temptation - challenges that once made it hard to maintain a healthy routine. But since joining the Talgarth Slimming World group, she has not only regained control but become an inspiration to others around the UK.
“I used to feel out of control with food when I was away,” Hannah said. “Now, I pack smartly, research the local food options before I fly, and make confident choices - even in places where Slimming World staples aren’t easy to find.”
Hannah’s journey is featured in the latest issue of the magazine, which includes tips for staying healthy while travelling, as well as her story of building long-term habits and regaining confidence.
Her progress began with a single decision - joining the Talgarth Slimming World group, led by Consultant Helen Furnell. The group quickly became Hannah’s anchor - offering motivation, accountability, and the kind of camaraderie that turns weekly weigh-ins into weekly wins.

Helen, known locally for her dynamic sessions and strong belief in her members, said: “Hannah’s success is rooted in her consistency.
"“She didn’t chase perfection; she built sustainable habits. Watching her evolve—physically, emotionally, and in confidence—has been an absolute joy.”
Hannah credits the group’s supportive environment with helping her stay on track.
"The thing about Slimming World is that it doesn’t ask you to give up the foods you love. It teaches you how to enjoy them mindfully-and how to forgive yourself when life gets messy," she said.
Hannah’s story is already inspiring others in Talgarth and beyond.
Helen Furnell runs the Talgarth Slimming World group, which meets every Wednesday at 6:30pm at Talgarth Town Hall.
