New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to six of Powys’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Hunky Dory Rest t/a McDonalds at Mcdonalds Restaurants Ltd, Pool Road, Newtown, Powys; rated on August 12

• Rated 5: Riverside Caravan Site at Bronllys, Brecon, Powys; rated on July 30

• Rated 5: Porth Farm Cafe at R M & L M Vaughan, Porth Farm, Caersws, Powys; rated on May 23

• Rated 4: The Granary at 20-21 Broad Street, Hay-On-Wye, Hereford; rated on July 9

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: New Inn at Darren Road, Bwlch, Brecon Powys; rated on July 31

• Rated 4: Pheasant Inn at 43 High Street, Welshpool, Powys; rated on July 9
