A £2.3 million Gypsy traveller site in Brecon is being recommended for approval.

The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority's planning committee is to meet next Monday, March 26 to consider the application submitted by Powys County Council.

Park planning officers are recommending the plan for a 14 berth caravan site and amenity building on land near the Brecon Enterprise Park, beside the main A470 to Merthyr Tydfil, be approved.

The caravan plots will be arranged in a 'horseshoe' layout with a children's play area at the centre of the site, though there is no play equipment proposed in the planning application.
