Ken and Christine Jones of Bylchau, Llanwrtyd Wells, marked their Golden Wedding Anniversary recently with a special celebration.

The couple, who celebrated 50 years of marriage on November 22, 2025, hosted a party for family and friends at Victoria Hall, Llanwrtyd Wells, on November 29.

Instead of gifts, Ken and Christine asked guests to make donations to two causes close to their hearts: Wales Air Ambulance and Llanwrtyd Wells Fire Brigade. Both organisations had provided vital support to Ken following a serious accident in 2024.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, a total of £1,045 was raised, which will be shared equally between the two causes.
