New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to six of Powys’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Men Shed Newtown C.I.C at Platform 1, Newtown Railway Station, Old Kerry Road, Newtown; rated on June 23

• Rated 5: Thomas Shop at Maesyfed, Penybont, Llandrindod Wells, Powys; rated on June 19

• Rated 5: Wye Valley Yoga at Salem Baptist Church, Bell Bank, Hay-On-Wye, Powys; rated on June 16

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And three ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Severn Arms Hotel at Penybont, Llandrindod Wells, Powys; rated on June 19

• Rated 5: The Crown Inn at 43 Heol Twrch, Lower Cwmtwrch, Swansea; rated on June 18

• Rated 5: Talbot Hotel at Berriew, Welshpool, Powys; rated on June 17
