Dylan Jones, the editor of GQ Magazine, will be joining BBC Radio Wales to present a new nightly programme from Hay Festival.
Dylan, who lives in Talgarth, will be recording Tonight at Hay with Dylan Jones live from 6.30pm each night between May 29 and June 1.
Dylan will be interviewing the biggest names at the festival and the programme will provide a round-up of each day’s highlights.
Colin Paterson, editor of BBC Radio Wales said: “Dylan’s a world class journalist who has a long association with the Hay Festival. He’s the ideal person to be leading our coverage”.
Dylan said: “I’m pleased to be joining the BBC’s coverage from Hay. In my view, it’s the best literary festival in the world. I’m looking forward to bringing the highlights to listeners across Wales.”
BBC Radio Wales will also broadcast a festival preview special of The Radio Wales Arts Show presented by Nicola Heywood Thomas, and topical comedy The Leak with Tom Price will be recorded from the BBC tent at Hay on the opening weekend.
In addition to its coverage at Hay, BBC Radio Wales has also announced a brand new monthly culture programme, beginning on Friday, April 6. The Arts Review will be presented by Gary Raymond, editor of the Wales Arts Review, and will feature reviews and critique of arts events around Wales.
