The Old Railway Line Garden Centre has raised a record £1,316 for its charity of the year, The Bracken Trust, through its annual Halloween Walk.
The family attraction, which ran throughout October and until November 1, invited visitors to explore a spooky trail featuring Halloween decorations, sound effects and surprises. All voluntary donations from the walk went to The Bracken Trust, which provides practical and emotional support to people affected by cancer, as well as their families and carers.
Matthew Lewis, retail and events manager at the garden centre, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to have raised £1,316 from this year's Spooky Halloween Walk. This is the most we've ever raised through the event, which is a fantastic achievement! It's wonderful to see so many families enjoying the walkway and giving generously to support our Charity of the Year. A huge thank you to everyone who visited, donated and helped make it such a success."
The Halloween Walk has become an annual fixture at the garden centre, with part of its plant area transformed into a seasonal trail for visitors.
The garden centre thanked everyone who visited and donated.
