Mid and North Powys Mind is continuing to support the community thanks to £9,990 funding from the National Lottery.

The mental health charity, based in Llandrindod Wells, is now running its Recovery Training Project. Covering mid and north Powys, the project is helping the community to adapt, recover and thrive - now thanks to National Lottery players.

The project will enable the charity to deliver at least 22 mental health and wellbeing training courses (both in-person and on-line) over the next 12 months.

Courses will include favourites such as Stress and Anxiety Management and Building Self Worth, as well as plenty of new ones to try out. The charity will released a new summary programme of courses for this Easter.

Lizzie Cockle, training lead at Mid and North Powys Mind, said: “We are really excited to receive this funding which will enable us to continue, and grow, our provision of mental health and wellbeing training courses and workshops. Our training courses are becoming increasingly popular, and we’ve learnt that people are noticing an improvement in their mental health not only from the information and skills they’re gaining from the courses, but also through the connections they’re able to form with other people taking part.

“Thank you for enabling us to continue with this much needed service.”
