In a bid to enhance digital healthcare accessibility, General Practitioners (GPs) across Mid Powys are urging patients to embrace the new NHS app.

The forthcoming changes to the prescription ordering process will result in the discontinuation of the My Health Online service in the spring of this year.

Encouraging residents to make the switch to the NHS app, those who prefer digital means for reordering repeat prescriptions can now conveniently do so through the NHS app or their desktop browser via app.nhs.wales

PAVO Health Promotions Facilitator Gareth Ratcliffe said: "We want to ensure a smooth transition for our residents as we embrace this digital evolution in healthcare. By encouraging patients to adopt the NHS app before the closure of My Health Online, we aim to streamline the prescription ordering process for thousands of residents across Powys."

With each surgery handling thousands of prescriptions monthly, the proactive approach to encourage residents to sign up for the NHS app is aimed at ensuring preparedness for the upcoming transition. Residents who wish to utilise digital platforms for repeat prescription orders are urged to register on the NHS app promptly.

The NHS app offers a user-friendly interface, providing a secure and efficient way for residents to manage their healthcare needs digitally.
