HowTheLightGetsIn – the philosophy and music festival taking place in Hay-on-Wye from May 25-28 – has revealed its full music line-up for 2018.

Having previously announced The Orb as their headliner for Saturday, the festival has unveiled Mercury-winning electronic dance pioneers Hot Chip as their top act for Sunday.

Following widespread critical acclaim for their sixth studio album, indietronic troubadours Why Make Sense? will take revellers on a nostalgic journey with their electro-pop DJ set on Sunday night.

Also joining the bill is Irish musician Camille O Sullivan. Known for her "eccentric and brilliant mix of rock, cabaret and ballads", her performance will include a mix of her own songs, as well as clever twists on classics from the likes of Jacques Brel Nick Cave, David Bowie and Radiohead.

Elsewhere on the bill is Fyfe Dangerfield, Ana Matronic, Luke Sital Singh, Badly Drawn Boy, Carny Villains, Laura Wraight, Tankus the Henge, The Turbans, Blair Dunlop, Undercover Hippy, Spiro, Yumi and the Weather and Patch and the Giant.

Festival director Hilary Lawson said: “The team are thrilled to announce another batch of amazing artists for this year’s festival.

“We’re incredibly proud of the line-up this year, one of our best and most diverse musical bills to date. There is no other festival in the world that combines the pleasures of music and philosophy in such a unique, inspiring and playful space."

Boasting over 500 events and artists across 12 stages, HowTheLightGetsIn claim to be unique in bringing together the world’s leading thinkers together with an extensive programme of music, comedy, culture and performance.
