The cause of death of teenager James Corfield, who went missing during the Royal Welsh Show, is currently "unascertained".
An inquest into the 19-year-old’s death has opened in Aberdare and heard James was last seen alive at 12.01am on July 25 on CCTV that showed him walking across a car park in Builth Wells after leaving the White Horse pub.
A search was launched after the teenager, who lived on a farm in Montgomery and who had been camping at the show with friends, failed to meet with family members that afternoon.
His body was found in the River Wye in Builth Wells five days later.
The inquest also heard the police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Coroner Andrew Barkley said the inquest will continue in November in Welshpool.
