Wrap up warm because the icy weather in Powys is set to continue though the weekend according to the Met Office.
Only two weeks before Christmas and a lot of people throughout Powys woke up this morning to bitter temperatures and white scenery.
Earlier this week most of Wales was issued with a "yellow" weather warning - meaning heavy snow is possible. Some areas in Powys have since been updated to an "amber" warning for Sunday - meaning heavy snow and ice are very likely.
According to the Met Office, some of the areas in Powys which are on amber alert for Sunday include Brecon, Llanwrtyd Wells, Rhayader, Builth Wells, Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth and Llandrindod Wells.
The Met Office predicted that some of the coldest areas over the frozen weekend will be Llandrindod Wells reaching -3 degrees celsius on Saturday, Rhayader and Llanwrtyd Wells which will both apparently reach -4 degrees celsius.
Dyfed-Powys Police are reminding drivers to be safe on the roads in the treacherous weather.
They’ve advised drivers to take more time for their journeys, plan their routes and take it slow.
The Radnorshire NPT tweeted a picture of the weather with the caption: "Be careful in the snow today! The roads are icey take your time! #snowday".
Radnor Valley C.P. was one of the only schools to close in Powys this afternoon due to the hazardous conditions.
While there are no warnings in place yet for Monday, the Met Office have still predicted snow in some places.
Areas which are likely to see snow at the beginning of next week include Rhayader, Builth Wells, Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth, Llandrindod Wells and Crai.
The Met Office said: " Road, rail and air travel delays are likely, as well as stranding of vehicles and public transport cancellations. There is a good chance that some rural communities could become cut off."
