Once again, Llandrindod Repair Cafe will be holding its free monthly repairing event on Saturday afternoon April 13, open from 2 - 5 pm at the Celf Centre on Tremont Road in Llandrindod, LD1 5EB. Last month, representatives from the Repair Cafe received the Community Spirit Award for their outstanding services to the local community. The ceremony took place at the Powys County Hall and was presented by the former Mayor of Llandrindod, Jon Williams.

Well over 1,000 items have already been repaired and saved from the tip at the Repair Cafe by local volunteers who are handy at fixing things. Martina Holmes, one of the Cafe’s organisers, said: “The Repair Cafe is still going from strength to strength and we are very honoured to have been chosen for this prestigious award. Our friendly volunteers are are now looking forward to fixing the next 1000 items, so please keep supporting us!”

Bring in any portable faulty household items on the day and see if they can be brought back in use again, have your tools sharpened, watch someone else’s repairs and enjoy a cup of tea, all for just a small donation to the Cafe.

New volunteer repairers always welcome.
