Llanfaes Park in Brecon was filled with music and community spirit on Saturday, June 21, as crowds gathered for the L’Arche Summer Fayre.
The event, organised by L’Arche Brecon– a small but dedicated community supporting adults with learning disabilities – drew a strong turnout of families and supporters throughout the afternoon.
Live performances from local musicians, including the Brecon Shantymen, Amy Rose and Friends, and the Moody Crows, provided the soundtrack to a day packed with activities.
Children enjoyed traditional games, including the popular “whack a leek”, while stalls offered bric-a-brac, a raffle, and face painting. Free water and squash were available, with teas and ice creams on sale to help visitors stay cool in the sun.
Emergency services were on hand throughout the day, chatting with visitors and engaging with families. Brecon Mountain Rescue brought along one of their vehicles, giving people the chance to learn more about the vital work they do.
