The 99th edition of the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), which is widely regarded as the pinnacle of the motorcycle enduro calendar, took place this year in Bergamo, Italy, and saw a strong showing from local riders representing Great Britain and Wales.
Rhayader’s Alex Walton was part of the four-man British Senior Trophy team and, despite riding with a shoulder injury, helped secure an impressive seventh-place finish overall. Meanwhile, Llandrindod Wells’ Sam Davies featured in the British Junior team, a trio that completed the week in eighth place. Both the Trophy and Junior team competitions were dominated by the host nation, Italy.

Leominster’s Katie Walker made her ISDE debut as part of the British Women’s Trophy team, finishing fifth behind a commanding performance from the USA team.
The club team competition also produced notable results for local riders. The Llanidloes-based Hafren Dirt Bike Club, represented by Rees Jones, Charlie Chater, and Tristan Young, finished 10th overall and were the highest-placed British club team. Close behind, the Wales A team claimed 14th place, led by Builth Wells’ Tom Wright and supported by Llanbister’s Shaun Buchan and Newport’s Jack Heath. The Wales B team were 20th overall, with Cross Gates’ Kris Price the standout performer alongside Penybont’s Jack Probert and Carmarthen’s Carwyn Rosser. These results were all the more impressive given that more than 150 club teams competed in the event.
