A 58 year old Brecon man has pleaded not guilty to murdering his 87 year old mother at Llanfrynach near Brecon in August last year.
John Griffths has appeared at Merthyr Crown Court accused of killing his mother Margaret Griffiths and was remanded in custody to stand trial in July.
The court heard that Mrs Griffiths was found by police at a property in Llanfrynach on August 27 last year and was airlifted to hospital where she died the next day.
Her son denies her murder and manslaughter.
