BRECON'S two museums could be housed on one site as part of a bid to get a town centre regeneration plan back on track.

Powys County Council is racing against the clock to keep hold of a £2 million grant towards the £8 million redevelopment of the 170-year-old grade II listed Brecknock Museum.

The latest proposals for a redeveloped museum and a new library would see the Regimental Museum move from its current base, next to the town's Watton Barracks, to the refurbished Brecknock Museum at nearby Captain's Walk.
