On Saturday, 12 July, the team were called to assist a male who suffered ongoing chest pain when climbing Fan y Big.
The team were deployed by Gator vehicle to the site, where the casualty was assessed- due to the nature of the incident, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Rescue187, were called and the casualty was then flown to Cardiff for treatment.
The following day, the team were called to assist a male who had collapsed on a steep step at Devils Bridge falls walk; Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust then requested Mountain Rescue assistance to evacuate. The male then managed to get to the roadside and was treated by paramedics, and Brecon Mountain Rescue Team was stood down.
Also on Sunday, 13 July, an injured motorcyclist needed assistance, however due to a poor phone signal, the Police and Ambulance were unable to locate them.
The initial location of the incident was given as Usk reservoir, however further information was then received that the casualty was in Nant y Cwr, north of Llyn Brianne. The casualty was then located by Welsh Ambulance Services Trust and the Mountain Rescue Team team was stood down.
The team were called to a male who had injured his ankle by turning it whilst walking in a group between Cribyn and Pen y Fan on Monday, 14 July.
Assisted by Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team, a hasty party was deployed to assess and treat the casualty, and a second party was dispatched with a stretcher and wheel. The casualty was given pain relief and was stretchered down the hill to Pont ar Daf, where he was then transferred to hospital.
A spokesperson for Brecon Mountain Rescue Team said: “We wish all the casualties involved a speedy recovery.
