Brecon Mountain Rescue Team were called out on Saturday, 3 February to a report of a missing person who had become separated from their walking group.

The team used the Phonefind app to locate the missing person.

Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team assisted the team and managed to locate the missing person and help them return to their group.

Whilst this was ongoing, the team remained on standby to assist Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team and Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team with a call in the waterfalls area. The missing people managed to locate a marker and find their way.

The following day (Sunday, 4 February) the team were called to a similar situation where a walker had become separated from their walking partner in thick fog.

A farmer assisted the pair to safety.
