MP for Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe David Chadwick, has praised thriving local business James Technical Services (JTS) which is based in Talgarth following a visit to the enterprise last week.
JTS is one of the UK’s few remaining manufacturers of environmental test chambers, and transitioned into Employee Ownership nearly 30 years after it was founded by Glen and Sue James in 1995.
Established in Talgarth, JTS employs 10 people and provides high-performing test chambers that can re-produce the harshest of environmental conditions, temperatures, humidity and vibration. We serve a wide variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical and many more. The company exports to many foreign nations, including the US and China.
Local MP David Chadwick said the businesses is a great example of the importance to engineering and manufacturing to the country and of the high-skilled jobs needed in Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe.
During the visit, JTS told David Chadwick how they are performing well and are looking at options to expand due to larger-sized projects coming in.
Commenting after the visit, David Chadwick MP said: “Parliamentary recess is a great way to go out and meet local businesses and organisations. I was extremely impressed with the quality of work being carried out at JTS in Talgarth.
“The high-skilled manufacturing jobs they provide are exactly what we need to see more of in Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe, especially if we are to stop so many young people needing to leave their communities to find work.
“I’m wishing JTS all the best for their future and thank them for the opportunities they are providing for our local community. I will continue to use my voice in Parliament to support local businesses and deliver the changes they need to thrive.”
