A fundraising event took place on Wednesday, 16 September, in aid of Brecon Foodbank.

Volunteers raised an amazing £180.28 by raffling off a hamper.

"Brecon Foodbank would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Old Railway Line Garden Centre who hosted their fundraiser recently,” said a spokesperson for Brecon Foodbank.

“Their wonderful support plays a vital role in helping us continue our work within the community.”

They were supported by a visit from Rachel Price and Sharon Lindesay, of PCI Pharma Services, Hay-on-Wye, who organise donations on a monthly basis.

With so many struggling with the cost of living, Brecon Foodbank is very grateful for their continued support. Selling tickets on the day, were volunteers, Mel Davies, Susan Williams, Trustee Secretary, Lyn Bugler, Liz Bowden, Freda Goldup, Lis and Stuart Lifford. They are just a handful of the many volunteers whose community spirit is second to none.
