Following an extensive refurbishment of the ground floor of Liverpool House on Talgarth Square, a new One Stop store has opened in Talgarth.

The store opened on Friday, December 5, and now promises to bring fresh energy to the heart of Talgarth - helping restore life to the town centre, while delivering a fresh, modern convenience offer for the local community.

One Stop franchise partners Paramjot Singh, Mandy Sohal, Simi Kaur, Samreeta Kaur and the whole team received huge congratulations from the town for their incredible work in bringing the store back to life at their opening ceremony.

The honours of cutting the ribbon went to Joyce Morris of Bronllys, who has worked with Para and Mandy at their existing store in Bronllys for more than two decades - and who they count as extended family. Mrs Morris urged all those gathered to: "Spend, Spend, Spend!" to make the new store a success, with Simi Kaur reporting strong trading despite the terrible weather in recent days.

Mayor of Talgarth, Cllr Andrew Lord said: "It is great to see new life restored to The Square after so many months."

County Councillor for Talgarth, William Powell, agreed. He said: "We are hugely grateful to Para, Mandy, and the family for having the confidence to invest in the heart of our town and in its future. I look forward to the business thriving and to the next steps in restoring this key asset for Talgarth."

Following their opening ceremony, the store posted to its Facebook page: “We are so thankful for every single person who came along, sent messages, or showed support. The positivity has been overwhelming and we truly appreciate it. We can’t wait to serve the wonderful Talgarth community - this is just the beginning.
