Gathering five year’s worth of sold house price data across the LD3 postcode, Defynnog, Bwlch and Boughrood have some of the highest-valued homes across the region.

Home sales company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2016 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the LD3 postcode.

At Defynnog (LD3), four properties sold for an average of £593,000. Bwlch (LD3), three properties sold for an average of £433,833. Also, Boughrood (LD3) saw three properties sell for an average of £428,333.

Some of the cheapest streets include Ffrwdgrech Road (LD3) where three properties sold for an average of £92,666, Bishops Court, Hay Road (LD3) where 4 properties sold for an average of £98,750, and Little Free Street (LD3) where 7 properties sold for an average of £111,642.

Commenting on the data, Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.”

“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Sennybridge (LD3) sold for £820,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £80,000 and under on High Street (LD3), St Marys Street (LD3) and Castle Street (LD3).”
