The path between Pont ar Daf car park and Storey Arms is set for an extended closure.
It will be closed for a few months, starting from Monday, 24 November to February 2026 due to forestry work in the adjacent plantation.
The path runs parallel to the A470 and is used by walkers with the area being at the foot of Pen y Fan.
The National Trust has recommended that during the planned closure time, walkers should ensure their walking route begins and ends at the same carpark.
A spokesperson for The National Trust said: “This is part of our ongoing works to restore natural woodland habitat in the plantation behind Pont ar Daf. Here we are thinning out non-native conifers and removing western hemlock and replacing them with native broadleaf species to create a more diverse and resilient woodland.
“We thank you for your patience as we carry out this important work.”
