A road remains closed near Crickhowell today as emergency road works continue.

The road U0576 between Crickhowell and Dardy will be closed today, Thursday April 14, and tomorrow Friday, April 15, from 8am until 6pm.

Also closed yesterday, the emergency road closure is in place on behalf of Welsh Water while they continue to work to repair a leaking ferrule.

A diversion is in place for motorists along other unarmed roads which will see drivers travel from Crickhowell past Ffawyddog, down towards The Old Rectory and Little Show Cottage, just out side of Llangattock, before heading back up past Cwrt-isaf Farm and onto Dardy.

The diversion route, which is sign-posted, should only add an additional five minutes onto the usual two minute travel time.
