A Mid Wales foodbank facing rising demand has received a timely boost thanks to a £500 donation from Builth Wells Rotary.

The contribution was presented by Rotary president Hugh Garner to Lynne Frost, project manager at Llandrindod Wells Foodbank, who said the support had come at a critical moment.

“The donation has come at a time when it is truly needed most. At present, we are finding it increasingly difficult to keep our shelves full, as demand continues to rise while donations have fallen,” she said.

The foodbank is proud to provide more than emergency food parcels, offering a wider network of support for individuals and families facing hardship.

Ms Frost said the service is rooted in “dignity, care and inclusion”, with people able to access confidential advice on financial pressures, housing concerns and other challenges alongside food provision.

Residents seeking support can contact the foodbank directly on 07519 839189 or visit during opening hours, which are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30am to 1pm.
