A public meeting to discuss the proposed closure of Nantmel Primary School is to be held on Thursday, February 25, Powys County Council has said.

The consultation meeting is to be held in the school hall starting at 6.30pm and will be open to all. However, the council is asking that people wishing to attend let it know in advance on 01597 826954 or by [email protected]

The consultation meeting - for parents and the wider community - has been arranged to give people the opportunity to let the council know their views on the proposal.

The formal consultation, which opened on January 29 and runs until March 11, follows a decision by the council’s cabinet in December to consult on the closure of the primary school.

Residents can also respond to the consultation viawww.powys.gov.uk/haveyoursay or in writing to the council’s School Modernisation team, County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, LD1 5LG or email [email protected]
