AN investigation is underway following the death of a teenage pupil at a special needs school in Powys.
The unnamed 15-year-old boy died on Monday, June 18 at Hillcrest Pentwyn School in Clyro, near Hay-on-Wye.
Dyfed Powys Police confirmed officers attended at the residential school for boys with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties on Monday.
The force said officers attended following reports of 'sudden death'.
A spokeswoman said the death isn't being treated as suspicious and added: "The coroner has been informed of the death and inquiries are ongoing with the relevant agencies."
The school accepts pupils from across the UK and is operated by an independently owned and run Hampshire based social enterprise, Hillcrest.

"We are conducting a full internal investigation and are working with the local police, coroner's office and regulatory bodies to assist with their inquiries. For these reasons, we are unable to provide any further information at this stage.
"We are of course giving extra support to the other young people we care for at this difficult time.
"Our thoughts are with his family and friends and on behalf of the staff and management we wish to express our sadness at this distressing news."
