THE Queen’s 90th birthday has been celebrated with a tea party at one Breconshire primary school.
Youngsters at Llanbedr Church in Wales School, near Crickhowell, made sandwiches and decorated cakes for their party this morning to mark the birthday which has made Elizabeth II Britain’s oldest ever monarch.
Teacher Jo Davies said pupils in the foundation phase have been learning about the Royal Family.
"We have had a tea party and have been doing some activities after the children have been learning about the Queen and her family.
"It has been a fun way to learn about our Queen," said Ms Davies who added older children in the setting for three to seven-year-old’s have also designed coins and medals and written poems.
