Radnor Hills, the Welsh soft drinks manufacturer, has been named Sustainable Supplier of the Year at the Federation of Wholesale Distributors (FWD) Gold Medal Awards.
The company was recognised for its efforts to reduce environmental impact, including achieving zero waste to landfill since 2018 and generating over 20 per cent of its energy from on-site solar power. Judges says the company “proves that environmental leadership and business growth can go hand in hand.”
The award was presented at Old Billingsgate in London by comedian Josh Widdicombe.
Simon Knight, Managing Director of Radnor Hills, said: “This is a fantastic award to win and I’m incredibly proud of the whole team at Radnor Hills who have worked so hard to achieve it.
“Sustainability is embedded within our business and we have put in place a number of measures to directly support decarbonisation within the soft drinks and wholesale supply chain, from providing lower-carbon product options, improving logistics efficiency and promoting packaging sustainability.
“By integrating renewable energy, packaging circularity, and carbon management into our growth strategy, we support both our commercial partners and the wider wholesale sector in achieving shared Net Zero goals.”
Family-owned and independent, Radnor Hills produces over 400 million still, sparkling, and flavoured water drinks annually using Welsh spring water sourced from Knighton. The company has also submitted its Net Zero strategy to the Science Based Targets initiative and aims to become net zero by 2045.
Radnor Hills makes a range of popular products, including Radnor Splash, Heartsease Farm sparkling presses, and school-compliant drinks. From January 2026, it will launch three new drinks: Radnor Fruits Disney, Radnor Spring, and Radnor Hydrate.
