Renovation work has begun on the Builth Wells War Memorial, with the project expected to take two to three weeks.
The memorial, unveiled in 1924 to honour the men of Builth Wells and Llanddewi’r Cwm who lost their lives in the First World War, is now over 100 years old. Work started on Tuesday, August 19.
“The memorial is now over 100 years old, and as it is a central part of the towns identity, it is imperative that it is brought up to standard so it can remain a focal point for at least the next 100 years.”
