A free coat rail has been set up in Brecon for people struggling to afford warm clothing during the winter.
Following the success of the scheme outside the Herb Garden Community Cafe in Llandrindod Wells, Molly Hawthorne and Sarah Mason have set up a similar rail outside The Co-operative on Lion Street.
The scheme, aimed at helping the homeless, means those struggling to afford coats can take one while allowing others to donate a coat - used or new - as long as it’s in good condition.
Ms Hawthorne said: “If you have a coat that is going spare, pop it on the rail for someone who isn’t in such a lucky position.
“Likewise, if you can’t afford to purchase a coat, then please go ahead and take one.”
