ON Tuesday, September 12, all Mid-Wales Housing Association and Care & Repair in Powys employees volunteered their time to help out with 11 charitable organisations and community projects around Powys and Ceredigion.

Over 50 members of staff between both organisations gave up a full working day to help out with local charities and community projects with duties ranging from painting, gardening, clearing pathways and providing a general helping hand.

Organisations and places that benefited were the Organ Donor Memorial Garden in Aberystwyth; Maes Dyfi, Machynlleth, Park Day Centre and Plas Cae Crwn residential home in Newtown; Ponthafren Resource Centre, Newtown; Cultivate Newtown; Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre; Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust, Newtown; Phoenix Furniture, Newtown; Youth and Community Centre, Llanfyllin; Bracken Trust, Llandrindod Wells, and Age UK, Llandrindod Wells.

Mid-Wales Housing employees were pleased to learn that their time had made a real difference to the projects they were involved with and were delighted to receive positive feedback following the day.
