The Brecon Beacons Food Festival has secured four major sponsors for this year’s event as organisers continue to grapple with rising costs.

Beacon Foods, Castell Howell, W W Bowen Ltd and Mains Gas Brecon have been confirmed as title sponsors for the 2025 festival, which returns to Brecon Market Hall on Saturday, October 4.

The event, which is free to enter and run on a not-for-profit basis, has become a highlight of Brecon’s calendar. But keeping it accessible for both visitors and stallholders means organisers rely heavily on sponsorship. Not only must core costs be covered, but the festival also aims to keep exhibitor fees affordable.

Festival organiser Andrew Powell said: “We have no large guaranteed budget and face constant pressure from rising costs. Our commitment has always been to keep the festival free and accessible.

“Thanks to the generous backing of our title sponsors and supporters, we can maintain low exhibitor fees and deliver a rich, inclusive experience for everyone.

“Sponsorship doesn’t just help cover costs - it enables us to promote local producers, invest in marketing, and keep the heart of the community beating at the festival.”

More than 60 food and drink producers are expected to showcase their products at the October event, alongside live music and fun activities for all ages.

Additional support this year is also coming from Keith Price Garages, Specsavers Brecon, Old Railway Line Garden Centre, James Dean Estate Agents, CK Deli, Llanfaes Dairy, Fingers & Forks Catering, and Da Mhile Distillery.

Organisers say the backing from local businesses is vital to keeping the festival free for visitors.
