Many houses in the village of Norton, near Presteigne are still without electricity after it went off at around 8.30pm last night.

The outage is due to the effects of Storm Goretti, and while most of the village is back on about 70 houses are still off and not expected back on until 8pm tonight.

Councillor Beverley Baynham has said that the Norton Hub is open with hot drinks.
