THREE former pupils at Brecon High School are hoping to organise a reunion for classmates who left the school 20 years ago as well as the staff who taught there at that time.
Michelle Jones, Charlene Jones and Geoff Lewis are hoping other ex-Brecon High pupils will join them at the Castle Hotel, Brecon, on August 31.
The trio say they are looking to get back together pupils who started at the school in the same year as them in 1991 and attended the school from 1991-96 or if they were sixth-formers until 1998.
A Facebook page has been set up called ‘Brecon High School Leavers 1998 (started Bhs in 1991)’ and Michelle said: “We wanted to organise something to mark the milestone of it being 20 years since many of us left the school.”
She added that it would also be a chance to “celebrate, remember and acknowledge all of those that have been loved and lost along the way”.
The reunion at the Castle Hotel will start at 7.30pm and tickets are £20, including music, a buffet and chance to enter a raffle. Part of the proceeds will go to Brecon War Memorial Hospital and Brecon Food bank and donations of raffle prizes from local business are welcome. Tickets can be bought and donations of prizes made through the Facebook page.
