A mountain rescue volunteer, who lives locally, took to the water in a kayak to calm the woman and reassure. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue service attended from around 6.25am and used ropes and lines to rescue her from the water.
The woman was treated by paramedics after she was removed from the water.
