Ysgol Calon Cymru is celebrating its Year 11 learners following the publication of this year’s GCSE results.
Headteacher Lee Powell said the school was “incredibly proud” of its Year 11 pupils and praised their hard work, determination and resilience throughout their GCSE studies.
He also thanked staff and families for the support they had provided.
Mr Powell said: “I would like to congratulate every learner on their achievement. Results day is an important milestone, and today is an opportunity to recognise the individual journey, effort and progress of each young person.
“We are extremely proud of them and wish them every success as they take their next steps.”

Learners considering staying at the school for their post-16 education can continue their studies through Ysgol Calon Cymru’s Chweched/Sixth Form.
The school said its VI Form offers a caring and supportive environment, with learners encouraged to develop academically, personally and socially as they prepare for their future.
Mr Powell also highlighted the opportunities available to those deciding what to do after Year 11.
“For those learners who are considering their options for September, I would encourage them to look at the opportunities available within our Chweched/Sixth Form,” he said.
“We offer a caring and supportive environment, alongside a broad range of courses and opportunities to help learners prepare for their next steps.
“Following the strong A-level results achieved by our VI Form learners last year, we are proud of the provision we offer and would be delighted to welcome learners who feel that continuing their education with us is the right choice for them.”

The school congratulated all of its Year 11 learners and thanked staff and families for their continued support throughout their GCSE studies.
