In the lead-up to the event, some of the Year 6 children visited the Pre-School and worked alongside the younger children to bake some delicious treats for everyone to enjoy at the coffee afternoon.

The afternoon was a huge success, and together the children managed to raise an incredible £464 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

Tish Jones, Owner of Little Stars Nursery and Pre-School said: “Although Little Stars is a private, onsite nursery, we are incredibly proud of the strong partnership we have with the school. Opportunities like this allow the children to learn from one another, build relationships and work together as part of a wider school community.

“A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon

“From all the children and staff at Little Stars & Ysgol y Gelli — DIOLCH YN FAWR!“

Both the school and Pre-School are really looking forward to building on this wonderful partnership and creating even more opportunities for the children to work together in the future.
