A care home in Ystradgynlais has fundraised £600 for Wales Air Ambulance.
The Grove, on Ynyscedwyn Road, held a series of summer events including a garden party to fundraise for the charity.
The Wales Air Ambulance operates some of the most advanced air ambulances in the UK, saving precious time and lives, and relies entirely on charitable donations.
Employees at the Grove, residents and their families came together to enjoy an egg and spoon race, sack race, egg hunt, raffle, tea and cake.
Manager of the Shaw healthcare-operated home, Joe Jenkins, said: “Raising £600 for charity is a true testament to the sense of community and compassion that thrives within our care home.
“We’ve had a lot of fun over the summer raising money for such a fantastic cause – one that was chosen by our residents, who all decided the Wales Air Ambulance was a well deserving charity. Thank you to our wonderful community and everyone who donated.”
The Grove is operated by the largest employee-owned healthcare provider in the UK, Shaw healthcare, and provides residential care for up to 30 people including those living with dementia.
