Brecon Phoenix boxers were back in action over the weekend, with two standout performances at different events showcasing the club's rising talent.

First up was James Berrow, who faced off against a strong Llanishen ABC boxer in Cardiff. In his second bout, James showed incredible strength and skill, pushing his opponent to the limit. He even forced a standing count, but despite his efforts, the contest ended in a narrow split points decision loss for James. The fight was close, and James’ performance certainly demonstrated his growing abilities in the ring.

Later that same day, the team headed to the Port Talbot Bulldogs show, where Dan Webster made his highly anticipated debut. His opponent, a local favourite, was met with thunderous support from the crowd, but that did not phase Dan.

From the opening bell, Dan impressed with a series of sharp combinations, landing punches time and again.

Dan forced two standing counts during the bout, even knocking his opponent's gumshield out four times. His impressive blend of defensive movement and powerful attacks left no doubt about the result, and Dan's hand was raised in victory. It was a debut to remember, and one that coaches believe could be the start of a successful career in the ring.

Meanwhile, Brecon's youth World Champion, Daniel Pitt, is currently out in Poland, competing in his second international senior tournament, continuing to represent the club on the world stage.
