The Football Association of Wales has suspended all domestic football.

The decision means all local leagues including those in mid Wales are unable to stage fixtures.

A statement from the Welsh FA said: "The FAW is fully aware of the impact this will have on the domestic game but the health and safety of all fans, players, volunteers and stakeholders are of paramount importance."The FAW will continue to monitor this situation on a day-by-day basis and will continue to provide updates when appropriate."The Central Wales Football Association had earlier this morning said it hadn't intended to postpone games due to the coronavirus outbreak, but the decision has been taken out of its hands by the national governing body.League heavyweights Llanidloes Town Reserves and Brecon Corries had been due to meet each other in the Pip Samuel Mid Wales League Cup next week.

The two teams occupy the top positions in the Mid Wales League (South) and were set for their quarter final cup clash, on Tuesday, March 17.

The Corries hoped to get back to winning ways after suffering their first defeat since returning to mid Wales football for this season, after a 3-0 loss to Berriew FC in the Central Wales Cup brought their blistering run to an end.

The Corries triumphed in the last meeting between the two sides, when they overcame The Daffs 7-0 in a league fixture at the end of August last year.

The Corries were due to return to league action this weekend against Penybont United, on Saturday.
