BRECON FC bowed out of the Pip Samuel (Electrical) Mid Wales (South) League cup following a 3-1 defeat at Llanidloes Town Reserves.
With Brecon’s pitch unavailable, they conceded home advantage and Llanidloes took full advantage. Topscorer, Kyle O’Shea had handed Brecon the lead with a well struck free-kick but Llanidloes immediately levelled with Dave Jerman netting from the penalty spot after a foul on Sam Hamer.
Jamie Davies put the home side in front midway through the second half and a stoppage time effort from former player-manager, Adrian Foulkes sealed it for The Daffs.
Newcastle are also through after a hard earned 2-1 home passage over Hay St Marys Reserves. Matthew Jones and Craig Morris put the Shropshire men two up before Callum Maddy reduced the deficit
