Hay and District Sports & Community Association Limited (HADSCAL) is pleased to announce that they have consolidated their long term relationship with Hay St Marys Football Club by granting them a 25-year lease for the football pitch and stand.

This is located on HADSCAL owned land off Forest Road, Hay-on-Wye.

The lease gives the club security and allows them to build a new clubhouse and changing rooms on the site, with work expected to start in January 2024.

This work is part funded by a grant from the FAW (Football Association Wales). HADSCAL has also been working with a range of other partners to produce a draft plan for an ambitious and exciting development on the remaining area of the site, which includes a community hall, bike track plus other sports facilities and a community growing area.

Public consultation on the HADSCAL plans will be taking place during January 2024.

Trudy Stedman, Chair of HADSCAL said: “As a group of trustees we are delighted to have signed this lease, which not only secures the long term viability of Hay St Mary’s Football Club but also serves as a launch pad for the future development of the HADSCAL site.”
