HAY ST MARY’S women’s team are going for glory and are in with a chance of claiming their first league title.

In their most recent Herefordshire FA Womens Development League fixture, played at Central Park in Hereford, they defeated city side Tupsley 9-0.

Lauren Bradford led the way with a hat-trick while Kirsty Lewis and Sara Miles each scored a brace. Gemma Bradford and Isla Barraclough also got on the score sheet.

To be crowned champions the Saints will need to win their final two matches of the season, against Ross Juniors on Sunday, May 5 and then against Belmont Wanderers on Sunday, June 2.

Ross Juniors, Belmont Wanderers and the Saints have each won two games each and have six points.
