LATE goals from Matty Tong and Matt Turrell earned Hay St Marys Reserves a 2-0 victory at Rhayader Town Reserves in the Watson Financial Mid Wales League (South) on Thursday night.
Conditions played a big part in a goalless first half during which Rhayader hit the bar but Hay also wasted chances.
The break through came on 74 minutes when Keiegan Powell broke through and fed Tong who still had plenty to do before finishing. And there was no way back for Rhayader when Turrell sneaked in at the far post to head home a Jamie Howard free-kick.
