KNIGHTON Town’s Adam Worton has been named the Spar Mid Wales League first division manager of the Month for November.
Worton, last season’s second division manager of the Season when The Robins gained promotion, has seen Knighton step up their title challenge with a string of good results. In November, Knighton recorded league wins against Carno and Llanidloes Town and also progressed in the League Cup at the expense of Penybont.
Machynlleth’s Richie Evans is first division Player of the Month – Evans grabbed a hat-trick when Machynlleth bowed out of the League Cup at Hay St Marys.
In Division Two, Shane Claridge takes the Manager of the Month award. Player-manager, Claridge helped Builth to league wins against Bont, Bettws and Presteigne and victory at leaders, Kerry in the first week of December has given The Lant men an outside chance of promotion. Aberystwyth University’s free scoring striker, Rian Devlin was the second division Player of the Month.
