THERE was a full house for Rhayader’s first event of the year, the popular Jack Frost Enduro which was greeted with dry weather which made conditions perfect.

In the small Championship class it was a straight battle between Charlie Evans and Carl Jones and after almost identical first test times it was Charlie who gained a first seconds over Carl on the remaining four tests to finish 24 seconds ahead.

In a highly competitive Experts class there was just ten seconds between the top three at the finish. Dan Mundell posted the best first test time ahead of Adam James and Alex Walton, but Walton hit back with the top time on laps two, three and four before Mundell topped the last test leaving Alex 8 seconds ahead of Dan with Adam just a further two seconds a drift.

Scoring his second win in a week Carl Tiley proved the master in the Veteran Experts class ahead of William Jones and Martin P Jones while the clubman Ben Coleman was nearly a minute ahead of Luke Thomas while just four seconds covered the next three places with Jared Stanfield getting the better of Katie Walker and Scott Hoskins.

The clubman Veterans and Sportsman class competed a lap less than the rest of the entry but the competition was still fierce with Matthew Ellis beating Carl Davies by just four seconds in the clubman veterans class while Matthew Stokes had a much easier win in the sportsman class being 90 seconds ahead of William Lloyd Davies.
