THE winter 12 hole competitions started on October 3 with a win for Anita Hughes in the stableford competition.

She scored 25 points and was followed by Fiona Jones with 23 points and Wendy Davies on 22.

The next stableford competition on October 24 was won by Sue Fair with 23 points followed by Glenys Williams with 21 and Jan Boreham on 19 points.

The first of the team competitions where the best two scores on each hole are counted was on October 31 and the scores were excellent.

Ronnie Cresswell, Beverley Beck and Kathy Dobbs scored 54 points and won on the back six holes from Jan Williams, Sue Pryce and Andy Black also with 54. One point behind to take third place were Glenys Williams, Steph Jenkins and Alison Matthews.
