HAVING escaped a chop in the review and after some recent good scores, Gareth Reid was lucky not to feel the full force of the axe after another good round.
Sunday’s exceptional score shows that he can easily play off single figures and if he continues with scores like this he will soon be playing off them.
The sun shone all day but a cold wind and with tricky conditions still out on the course it was a surprise for all the scores to be this good especially as the Standard Scratch went up a shot too.
Results:- First: Gareth Reid (h’cap 14) - 44 points; Second: Leon Rees (h’cap 10) - 41 points; Third: Sam Lloyd (h’cap 11) - 40 points; Fourth: Alan Cadwallader (h’cap 17) - 40 points; Fifth: Steve Like (h’cap 13) - 39 points.
